The HyperPure® Bi-modal PE-RT tube is manufactured using HyperTherm® 2399 NT bimodal PE-RT (polyethylene raised temperature) by the Dow Chemical Company. This product is BPA free and features a minimum bend radius equal to 6x the tubing's outside diameter. It comes with a 100-year limited warranty and is rated for a pressure of 200 PSI at 73°F and 100 PSI at 180°F. The linear expansion rate is 1.1 inches per 10°F per 100 feet, and the tube is 100% recyclable. The weight of the coil is 17.3 lbs, and it has a capacity of 3.04 gallons per 100 feet, with dimensions of 1 inch I.D. by 100 feet in coil form. HyperPure tubing is third-party certified (ICC-ES report PMG-1363) to various standards and codes, including ANSI/NSF 14 (plastic piping system components and related materials), ANSI/NSF 61 (drinking water system components health effects), ASTM 2769 (standard specifications for PE-RT in hot and cold water distribution systems), CL-5 (100% chlorine exposure at 140°F), and ASTM E84 (standard test method for surface burning characteristics of building materials). Additionally, it complies with CAN/ULC S102.2 and the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and International Plumbing Code (IPC) and International Residential Code (IRC) for multiple years. The standards applicable to this product include CSA B137.18 (requirements for PE-RT made in SDR-9) and ASTM fitting standards F1807, F2080, F2098, F2159, F1960, F3347, and F3348, as well as ASSE 1061.
