The HyperPure® bi-modal PE-RT tube is manufactured using HyperTherm® 2399 NT bimodal PE-RT (polyethylene raised temperature) by The Dow Chemical Company. This product is BPA free and features a minimum bend radius equal to 6 times the tubing outside diameter. It comes with a 100-year limited warranty and has a rated pressure and temperature of 200 PSI at 73°F and 100 PSI at 180°F. The linear expansion rate is 1.1 inches per 10°F per 100 feet, and the tube is 100% recyclable with a weight of 106.5 lbs. It has a capacity of 6.3 gallons per 100 feet and dimensions of 1-1/2 inches I.D. by 300 feet long in a coil. The HyperPure tubing is 3rd party certified (ICC-ES report PMG-1363) to various standards and codes including ANSI/NSF 14 for plastic piping system components, ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components health effects, ASTM 2769 for PE-RT in hot and cold water distribution systems (equivalent to ASTM F 876 and 877 for PEX), and CL-5 for 100% chlorine exposure at 140°F. It also complies with ASTM E84 for surface burning characteristics and CAN/ULC S102.2 for flooring materials. Furthermore, it meets Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements for multiple years as well as International Residential Code (IRC) standards. The tube adheres to CSA B137.18 requirements for PE-RT made in SDR-9 and several ASTM fitting standards including F1807, F2080, F2098, F2159, F1960, F3347, and F3348, along with ASSE 1061 fitting standards.
