The HyperPure® bi-modal PE-RT tube is manufactured using HyperTherm® 2399 NT bimodal PE-RT (polyethylene raised temperature) by The Dow Chemical Company. This product is BPA free and has a minimum bend radius equal to 6 times the tubing outside diameter. It features a 100-year limited warranty and is rated for pressures of 200 PSI at 73°F and 100 PSI at 180°F, with a linear expansion rate of 1.1 inches per 10°F per 100 feet. The tube is 100% recyclable and weighs 2.5 lbs, with dimensions of 1/4 inch I.D. x 100 feet coil. The HyperPure tubing is 3rd party certified (ICC-ES report PMG-1363) to various standards and codes, including ANSI/NSF 14 for plastic piping system components and related materials, ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components health effects, ASTM 2769 for specifications for PE-RT in hot and cold water distribution systems (equivalent to ASTM F 876 and 877 for PEX), and CL-5 for 100% chlorine exposure at 140°F. Additionally, it meets ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC S102.2 standards for surface burning characteristics, as well as compliance with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and International Plumbing Code (IPC) from 2015 to 2009, and International Residential Code (IRC) from 2015 to 2009. The tube also conforms to CSA B137.18 for requirements for PE-RT made in SDR-9 and various ASTM fitting standards, including F1807, F2080, F2098, F2159, F1960, F3347, F3348, and ASSE 1061.
