The HyperPure® bi-modal PE-RT tube is manufactured using HyperTherm® 2399 NT bimodal PE-RT (polyethylene raised temperature) by The Dow Chemical Company. It is BPA free and has a minimum bend radius equal to 6 times the tubing outside diameter. The tube features a 100-year limited warranty and is rated for a pressure and temperature of 200 PSI at 73°F and 100 PSI at 180°F. Its linear expansion rate is 1.1 inches per 10°F per 100 feet, and it is 100% recyclable. The weight of the tube is 86.5 lbs, with a capacity of 3.04 gallons per 100 feet. The dimensions of the tube are 1 inch I.D. x 500 feet coil. HyperPure tubing is 3rd party certified (ICC-ES report PMG-1363) to various standards and codes including ANSI/NSF 14 for plastic piping system components and related materials, and ANSI/NSF 61 for drinking water system components health effects, among others. It meets the specifications set forth by ASTM 2769 for PE-RT in hot and cold water distribution systems and is compliant with several plumbing codes including the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) for multiple years. Additionally, it adheres to CSA B137.18 for PE-RT made in SDR-9 and various ASTM fitting standards such as F1807, F2080, F2098, F2159, F1960, F3347, and F3348, as well as ASSE 1061 fitting standards.
