The Forney® Flex 30 Plasma ST is a versatile all-in-one plasma cutter and stick/TIG welder designed for portability and ease of use. It operates on a 120V/240V dual-voltage input power and offers a cutting capacity of up to 3/8" thick, with clean cuts on materials ranging from thin sheet metal to 1/2" plate and sever cuts up to 5/8". This machine is capable of stick welding (SMAW), TIG welding (GTAW) with the requirement of a TIG torch that includes a gas valve (sold separately), and plasma cutting. It can process mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. Specifications include output power for welding at 120V @ 85A and 240V @ 160A (DC output only), cutting at 120V @ 20A and 240V @ 30A, and a duty cycle for TIG at 120V: 30% @ 85A and 240V: 30% @ 160A. The machine features an amperage range for TIG of 10A-85A (120V) and 10A-160A (240V), for stick of 10A-80A (120V) and 10A-160A (240V), and for plasma of 10A-20A (120V) and 10A-30A (240V). It requires a recommended gas supply flow rate of 4.5 CFM and is CSA listed for certification. The unit operates on a single phase and is backed by a 3-year warranty for the power source and a 1-year warranty for the torch.
