The Americana® climbing peak type II is designed with a Mega Ratchet® 4 point suspension that allows for one-handed adjustment, making it user-friendly even when wearing gloves. Weighing only 13 oz., it provides all-day comfort while featuring a short peak brim that enhances vertical field of view for improved safety. The helmet includes a durable nylon strap 4-point chin strap with woven webbing and slider size adjustments, alongside a deluxe chin guard. Its innovative design maintains secure all-day comfort and minimizes discoloration from sweat and dirt. The Mega Ratchet® system allows quick size adjustments for head sizes ranging from 6-1/2 to 8. Additional features include a removable, washable, and replaceable moisture-wicking brow pad, goggle retaining slots on the suspension, and compatibility with the I-675R replacement suspension. This helmet meets the low temperature option of the Z89.1 standard and is SEI certified to CAN/CSA Z94.1-2015 (R2020), classifying it as type I class E & G. It complies with USA standards, providing class G electrical protection (proof-tested at 2,200V) and class E electrical protection (proof-tested at 20,000V), while the type II construction offers comprehensive impact protection, including energy attenuation and chin loops.
