The Americana® climbing wind type II is a safety helmet designed for optimal protection and comfort, featuring a Mega Ratchet® 4-point suspension system that allows for one-handed adjustment, making it convenient to use with or without gloves. Weighing only 13 oz., it offers all-day comfort while its short peak brim enhances vertical field of view for improved safety. The helmet includes a durable 4-point chin strap made of nylon with woven webbing and slider size adjustments, complemented by a deluxe chin guard. This vented helmet keeps users cool throughout the day and features a moisture-wicking brow pad that is removable, washable, and replaceable. It meets the low temperature (LT) option of the Z89.1 standard and is SEI certified to CAN/CSA Z94.1-2015 (R2020) - type II class C, ensuring reliable protection. The helmet accommodates head sizes ranging from 6-1/2 to 8 and includes goggle retaining slots on the suspension. It comes in a carton of 12 and is compatible with the I-675R replacement suspension. In terms of compliance, it adheres to ANSI-ISEA Z89.1:2014 standards for industrial head protection, providing type II impact protection, which includes energy attenuation and off-center penetration, alongside chin loops for added safety, and is classified as class C for electrical protection, indicating it is conductive and not electrically tested.
