Scotch® Box Sealing Tape 371 is an industrial grade packing tape specifically designed for securely closing a wide variety of medium weight box materials. It features a durable 1.8 mil polypropylene film backing that resists abrasion, moisture, and scuffing, while easily conforming around edges and on rough surfaces for a tight seal. The tape utilizes a hot melt synthetic rubber adhesive for roll to roll consistency, enhancing productivity and improving unit cost. It is suitable for general industrial applications and can be easily unwound and dispensed using manual dispensers or 3M-Matic™ case sealers. This tape adheres instantly to most surfaces, including those containing high levels of recycled content, and offers good edge tear and split resistance while meeting FDA guidelines for indirect food contact. With a backing thickness of 1.2 mil, a core size of 3 inches, and an elongation at break of 16%, it is ideal for use in the food and beverage industry, consumer goods, electronics packaging, and e-commerce fulfillment.
