The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wood decking is designed to maximize storage space in retail, industrial, and commercial settings. Each starter unit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. The open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments, allowing for flexible storage configurations. The construction features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under load, while double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts to provide structurally secure joints that eliminate back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish provides durability. The package includes precut 5/8" thick particleboard wood decking, shipped in two pieces, offering a smooth, sturdy, and cost-effective solid surface. Assembly is simple and tool-free, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips to set up. The unit dimensions accommodate various heights, widths, and depths to suit different facility needs.
