The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf standard duty boltless shelving add-on with wood decking is designed to maximize storage area in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces, accommodating various heights, widths, and depths to fit nearly every facility area. Each shelf level supports a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. Open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, allowing flexible storage configuration. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, and double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. Each add-on unit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams adjustable vertically in 1" increments. The shelving is finished with a chip-resistant gray baked enamel for durability. The precut 5/8" thick particleboard provides a smooth, cost-effective solid decking and ships in two pieces. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, and the design allows four-side access for maximum flexibility and easier expansion by joining units with greater stability and less construction than bolting two starter units together.
