The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf Heavy Duty Boltless Shelving Add-On with wood decking is designed for retail, commercial, and industrial applications, with a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The sturdy, roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support, featuring double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into corner posts to form a structurally secure joint, eliminating back and side sway. Front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation under load. The kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams adjustable vertically in 1" increments. The open shelf design allows four-sided access for maximum flexibility, and the chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability. The particleboard decking is sturdy, smooth, precut, 5/8" thick, and ships in two pieces, providing a cost-effective solid surface. Assembly is straightforward with snap-in components and requires no bolts, nuts, or clips, allowing easy expansion and more stability than bolting two starter units together.
