The SC Preferred 3 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage area in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces. It features a maximum storage weight capacity of 1500 lbs per level and open shelves that are adjustable at 1" increments for adaptability. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1", 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double-riveted horizontal beams that lock perimeter beams securely into corner posts, preventing back and side sway. The shelving system is constructed from sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. It offers easy assembly with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability, while wire decking provides ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, allowing sprinkler water to pass through easily to improve fire safety and help lower insurance premiums. The open design permits four-sided access for maximum flexibility, and various heights, widths, and depths are available to suit most facility layouts.
