The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with wire shelving is designed to maximize storage areas with a max storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level, suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, allowing versatile configuration, and the kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers along with double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. The unit features sturdy roll-formed steel framing for maximum support, front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, and double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into the corner posts to form structurally secure joints, eliminating back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability. Wire decking, which ships in two pieces, allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration and facilitates sprinkler water passage throughout racks, improving fire safety. The design allows easy assembly with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, and the add-on units can be joined for expansion with more stability and less construction than bolting two starter units together.
