The SC Preferred 5 Shelf standard duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage area with a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. It features durable and adaptable storage suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments and provide four side access for maximum flexibility. The package includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. The wire mesh decking ships in two pieces and allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration while enabling sprinkler water to pass through easily, enhancing fire safety. The snap-in assembly requires no bolts, nuts, or clips, and the sturdy roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under load. Double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming structurally secure joints that eliminate back and side sway. The finish is a chip-resistant gray baked enamel.
