The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with wire shelving is designed to maximize storage capacity with a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level, suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. It features adjustable open shelves at 1" increments and includes sturdy 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers, along with double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments. The unit utilizes a durable roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load, and double rivet button stud construction secures perimeter beams to corner posts, eliminating back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability. The wire decking, which ships in two pieces, allows ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and easy sprinkler water passage to improve fire safety and potentially lower insurance premiums. This shelving system allows four-side access due to its open design, features easy assembly with snap-in components without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips, and offers stable expansion by joining units with more stability and less construction effort than bolting starter units together.
