The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with laminate decking is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial applications, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, allowing for versatile configurations. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation and double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into corner posts, creating a structurally secure joint to eliminate back and side sway. Each add-on unit includes rugged 14 GA steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically on 1" increments. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish complements stain-resistant, easy-to-clean, 1/2" thick melamine surface decking with pre-cut square edging in white laminated particle board, which ships in two pieces. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, and the open design allows four-side access for maximum flexibility. The product is intended to be used as an expansion to starter units by joining them for added stability and reduced construction effort compared to bolting units together.
