The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter kit with laminate decking is designed to maximize storage space in retail, commercial, and industrial settings with various heights, widths, and depths to fit nearly any facility area. Each starter unit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1800 lbs. per level. The open shelves feature a 1/2" thick stain-resistant, easy-to-clean white laminated melamine surface with pre-cut square edging, and the unit is constructed with sturdy roll-formed steel framing and front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. The design uses double rivet button stud construction to lock perimeter beams into corner posts, forming structurally secure joints that eliminate back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability, and assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no nuts, bolts, or clips. The shelving unit offers four-sided access and adjustable shelves at 1" increments for maximum flexibility, with dimensional attributes and certifications complying with industrial storage standards.
