The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf Heavy Duty Boltless Shelving Starter with Laminate Decking is designed to maximize storage space in retail, commercial, and industrial environments, with a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. The kit includes 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments, allowing for open shelves that are easily adjustable. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load, and double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into corner posts to eliminate back and side sway, providing structural security without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips. The shelves use a 1/2" thick stain-resistant, easy-to-clean melamine surface decking with chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and pre-cut square edging, shipped as particle board in two pieces. The open design allows four-side access for maximum flexibility, and assembly is simple with snap-in components.
