The Skullerz® 8951 vented hard shell bump cap features a durable polyethylene shell designed to protect against bumps, scrapes, bruises, and other minor head injuries. This material resists cracking and breaking while simplifying cleaning. The cap includes strategically placed shell vents and a ventilated suspension system that enhance breathability and air circulation, making it suitable for all-day wear. The flexible suspension system incorporates a removable, replaceable 4mm thick foam-backed fabric sweatband, ensuring comfort during demanding tasks. It features a recessed design on the sides for compatibility with earmuffs, enhancing integration with hearing protection, and a short, flat angled brim that promotes upward visibility. The adjustable suspension allows for customization of height, rear strap angle, and size, accommodating hat sizes from 6-1/8 to 8 (head circumference: 19.25-25.25 inches / 49-64 cm). The brim length is 2 inches (50 mm) and the closure is ratchet, while multiple color options are available to match work uniforms or roles. The bump cap is typically worn in tight spaces where lower energy worker-generated impacts are a concern, such as low ceilings and beams, making it suitable for mechanics, airline baggage handlers, and workers in food processing/manufacturing facilities, among others.
