The Datrex Maxflow Level 70 Newton lifejacket/PFD is designed for continuous wear while working near shore or for easy access to safety. The Level 70N designation is a new standard from the US Coast Guard (USCG) that harmonizes approval across North America, replacing the Type III designation. This lifejacket features both USCG and Transport Canada (TC) approval, conforming to ANSI standards. It includes a Maxflow system to enhance comfort by keeping users cooler, a split foam system for a more uniform fit around the torso that reduces bulkiness, and mesh sides and shoulders for added breathability. The jacket is made with contoured, lightweight, and durable flotation foam, providing freedom of movement, and features true and tailored sizing for today's users. It comes equipped with two 1" encircling belts with a heavy-duty zipper closure, a hidden belt to reduce snags, and two large pockets with hook and loop closures, pull tabs, and tether loops. The Molle system allows for the attachment of accessories, and a harness hole on the back panel works universally with fall harness protection. The jacket is high visibility orange and incorporates SOLAS grade retroreflective tape on the front and back of the shoulders, as well as a hand warmer liner made of fleece behind the pockets.
