The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with wood decking is designed to maximize your storage area, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. It features durable and adaptable storage suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, with open shelves that are adjustable at 1" increments. The kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double-riveted horizontal beams, which adjust vertically at 1" increments, along with sturdy roll-formed steel framing that provides maximum support and prevents beam rotation under heavy loads. Double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts, forming structurally secure joints that eliminate back and side sway. The open design allows four-sided access for maximum flexibility, and the assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. The package also includes a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and smooth, precut 5/8" thick particleboard decking that ships in two pieces, offering a cost-effective solid surface. The shelving accommodates various heights, widths, and depths to fit nearly every facility area, and expansion is simplified by joining units for greater stability without bolting starter units together.
