The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces with a max storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments along with wire decking that allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments to fit various heights, widths, and depths, accommodating nearly every facility area. The snap-in assembly requires no bolts, nuts, or clips, ensuring easy setup. Sturdy roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support, while front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation when fully loaded. The double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming structurally secure joints that eliminate back and side sway. The shelving features a chip resistant gray baked enamel finish. Wire decking design facilitates sprinkler water flow throughout racks, improving fire safety and potentially lowering insurance premiums. Particle board components, when included, ship in two pieces.
