The SC Preferred™ 3 shelf, heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage capacity with a max storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. This durable and adaptable shelving unit is suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, featuring open shelves adjustable at 1" increments for customizable storage. The kit includes a starter unit with rugged 2" x 1" 14 ga steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock into corner posts with a double rivet button stud construction, providing a structurally secure joint to prevent back and side sway. The sturdy roll-formed steel framing ensures maximum support, with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. Wire decking allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, while permitting sprinkler water to pass through easily to improve fire safety. The unit has a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and is easy to assemble with snap-in components, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. Particle board ships in two pieces.
