The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf standard duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces, with a max storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1", 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments and the snap-in components allow for easy assembly without bolts, nuts, or clips required. Sturdy roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support, with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. Double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into the corner post to form a structurally secure joint, eliminating back and side sway. The chip resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability. Wire decking permits ventilation, visibility, and light penetration while allowing sprinkler water to pass through the racks easily, improving fire safety. Particle board included in the kit ships in two pieces.
