The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with laminate deck is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces. It features a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level and adaptable open shelves that are adjustable in 1" increments for versatile organization. The shelving measures 1/2" thick with a white laminated, stain-resistant, and easy-to-clean melamine surface decking with pre-cut square edging, and particle board ships in two pieces. The sturdy roll-formed steel framing includes 2" x 1-1/2" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock perimeter beams into corner posts using double rivet button stud construction to prevent back and side sway, providing a structurally secure joint. Front-to-back supports enhance stability by preventing beam rotation when fully loaded. The shelving system allows four side access due to its open design, and assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish adds durability.
