The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter, measuring 72" W x 30" D x 120" H with a laminate deck, is designed to maximize storage space in retail, commercial, and industrial environments. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1-1/2" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. The open shelving system supports a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level and features durable roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded. The double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. Shelves are chip-resistant with a gray baked enamel finish and have a stain-resistant, easy-to-clean 1/2" thick white laminated melamine surface with pre-cut square edging; the particle board ships in two pieces. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, and the open design allows four-sided access for maximum flexibility.
