Scotch® Filament Tape 893 is a general-purpose packaging tape featuring continuous glass-yarn filaments that deliver high tensile strength and low stretch. The clear 3M™ ScotchPRO™ backing offers excellent abrasion and moisture resistance, while the aggressive packaging-grade adhesive is specifically formulated to ensure a strong balance of high initial adhesion and long-term holding power on most fiberboard surfaces. The tape is designed for bundling, reinforcing, or coil tabbing applications, and suitability should be tested in environments with high temperatures or oily surfaces before extensive use. Key attributes include a tough film backing that extends functional performance, good handling characteristics for easy dispensing, and low stretch to maintain tightness.
