Scotch® Filament Tape 893 is a general-purpose packaging tape reinforced with continuous glass-yarn filaments, providing high tensile strength and low stretch. The clear 3M™ ScotchPro™ backing offers excellent abrasion and moisture resistance. The aggressive packaging-grade adhesive is formulated for high initial adhesion and long-term holding power on most fiberboard surfaces. The tape features a tough film backing that protects the filaments and adhesive, ensuring longer functional performance, while its good handling characteristics facilitate easy dispensing and application. With low stretch, it maintains tightness and demonstrates excellent moisture, abrasion, and scuff resistance. The clear polypropylene backing, reinforced with glass yarn filaments and a synthetic rubber adhesive, allows for printing and visibility of illustrations through the tape. It offers high shear, good initial adhesion, and reliable long-term holding power. Additionally, the tape provides advertising, warning, and labeling capabilities when printed and holds instantly with minimal rubdown.
