3M™ Scotch® 8915 filament tape is a high-performance transparent tape reinforced with continuous high-strength glass filaments, designed to securely hold appliance parts together during manufacture and shipping. The heavy 3M™ Scotchpro™ film backing provides proper stiffness and excellent abrasion, moisture, and scuff resistance. Featuring a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is specifically formulated for high adhesion, clean removal, and stain resistance on most finishes, this tape is frequently used in the appliance industry to hold doors and stationary parts during shipping. It is easy to handle and dispense, with a clear translucent backing that allows bar codes, type, and graphics to show through. Additionally, the tape has low stretch to ensure tight holding that will not loosen, and it will not stain most surfaces. It has a thickness of 6 mil and consists of clear polypropylene backing reinforced with glass yarn filaments with a synthetic rubber adhesive.
