Super Strong 3M™ 4929 VHB™ tape provides the simplicity of a tape fastener with incredible strength that can replace rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, liquid adhesives, and other permanent fasteners. This product is 0.48mm thick, making it suitable for applications requiring a thin bond line. VHB™ joining systems utilize firm acrylic adhesives that offer excellent long-term holding power. The peel adhesion and tensile holding power of products in the VHB™ family are significantly higher than typical pressure-sensitive tape products. The tape is resistant to solvents, temperature extremes, and U.V. light, allowing for various interior and exterior applications. It is designed to attach stiffeners, bond aluminum skin to the steel support of trucks, vans, and ambulances, or bond architectural signs to frames. This general-purpose adhesive features an adhesive on both sides of firm type foam, a clear polyester liner, and black foam with acrylic adhesive. It is moisture, solvent, and UV resistant, with a temperature range of -40° F to 200° F, and complies with UL746C standards.
