3M™ 4008 double-sided foam tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. The kit includes premium grade 1/8" open cell polyurethane foam available with either a high-temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, facilitating bonding to various types of surfaces for mounting, joining, and holding. Key features include high bond strength, high-temperature and solvent resistance, and conformable foam with high shear strength. The ideal temperature range for this tape is 70° F to 100° F. The natural colored urethane foam products typically vary in color from white to light yellow, and upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation), they will change to light yellow; this color change is normal and does not impact tape performance.
