3M™ 4016 double sided urethane foam tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. This conformable foam offers high shear strength and is available with either a high-temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, making it suitable for bonding to various types of surfaces for mounting, joining, and holding. The tape features premium grade 1/16" open cell polyurethane foam with firm acrylic adhesive, making it ideal for many indoor applications or for exterior applications where it will be protected from environmental exposure. The acrylic adhesive provides high bond strength along with high temperature and solvent resistance, and the ideal temperature range for use is 70° F - 100° F. The natural colored urethane foam tape varies from white to light yellow, with a normal color change to light yellow upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation) that does not affect tape performance.
