Super strong 3M™ 4955 VHB™ tape provides the simplicity of a tape fastener with incredible strength that in many situations replaces rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, liquid adhesives, and other permanent fasteners. This tape utilizes firm acrylic adhesives which have excellent long-term holding power. The peel adhesion and tensile holding power of products in the VHB™ family are significantly higher than typical pressure-sensitive tape products. It exhibits resistance to solvents, temperature extremes, and U.V. light, making it suitable for many interior and exterior applications. This tape can be used to attach stiffeners, bond aluminum skin to steel support of trucks, vans, and ambulances, bond architectural signs to frames, and serve as a general purpose adhesive on both sides of firm type foam. It is moisture, solvent, and UV resistant, featuring a polyester liner and white acrylic foam with an acrylic adhesive. The temperature range for this tape is -40° F to 200° F, and it is compliant with UL746C standards.
