Super strong 3M™ 4930 VHB™ tape provides the simplicity of a tape fastener with incredible strength that in many situations replaces rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, liquid adhesives, and other permanent fasteners. VHB™ joining systems utilize firm acrylic adhesives which have excellent long-term holding power. The peel adhesion and tensile holding power of products in the VHB™ family are significantly higher than typical pressure-sensitive tape products. Resistance to solvents, temperature extremes, and U.V. light make VHB™ tape products suitable for many interior and exterior applications. It is designed to attach stiffeners, bond aluminum skin to steel support of trucks, vans, and ambulances, or bond architectural signs to frames. This product features a general-purpose adhesive on both sides of firm type foam, a kraft paper liner with white acrylic foam, and an acrylic adhesive. Additionally, it is moisture, solvent, and UV resistant, with a temperature range of -40°F to 200°F, and complies with UL746C certification.
