3M™ 4016 double sided urethane foam tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. It features premium grade 1/16" open cell polyurethane foam with a firm acrylic adhesive, making it suitable for a variety of indoor applications or exterior applications where protection from the environment is provided. The acrylic adhesive offers high bond strength along with high temperature and solvent resistance, while the conformable foam ensures high shear strength. The tape performs optimally within a temperature range of 70° F - 100° F. The natural colored urethane foam tape products vary in appearance from white to light yellow; a normal color change to light yellow occurs upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation), which does not impact the tape’s performance.
