3M™ 9415PC Removable Double Sided Film Tape features a permanent adhesive on one side and a repositionable adhesive on the other, making it suitable for applications requiring easy repositioning or removal of one or both parts. The tape includes a low tack adhesive on the exterior side that facilitates easy removal from various films, foils, and most papers, often allowing for multiple reuses; however, users are advised to conduct specific tests to confirm suitability for their particular applications. The interior side of the roll boasts a high tack or "permanent" adhesive. Constructed from translucent polyester, the tape is backed by a 70# white polycoated kraft release liner and features a 3-inch core size. It provides good adhesive anchorage to the film carrier, enabling one-piece tape removal from many surfaces. Additionally, the tape exhibits a slight side-to-side adhesion differential, allowing for specific side removal when applied correctly. The complete plastic construction of both tapes offers a hot wire cuttable feature for plastic packaging, while flexible materials adhere better to the low tack adhesive compared to rigid materials, such as paper versus cardboard. It may also be necessary to remove curl from certain applications.
