Super strong 3M™ 4941 VHB™ tape provides the simplicity of a tape fastener with incredible strength that can replace rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, liquid adhesives, and other permanent fasteners in various applications. The 4941 tape is a conformable, very high bond acrylic foam tape designed for optimal bonding to plasticised vinyl due to a specially formulated adhesive that resists plasticiser migration. This core adhesive composition makes it suitable for many paints and primers, and its improved conformability ensures more complete bond contact area when adhering rigid or irregular materials. While it has slightly lower peel, tensile, and shear performance compared to other VHB™ tape products due to its softness, it is well-suited for many interior and exterior industrial applications. The tape features the ability to bond mutin bars to windows, bond pre-painted metals in truck assembly, and mount vinyl wiring ducts and conduit channels. It is a multi-purpose adhesive on both sides of the conformable foam, providing excellent bonding to relatively irregular surfaces and mixed substrates. This product is also moisture, solvent, and UV resistant, with a temperature range of -40° F to 160° F, and comes with a kraft paper liner and dark gray acrylic foam with an acrylic adhesive. It demonstrates excellent adhesion to metal, glass, and a wide variety of plastics, and is compliant with UL746C certification.
