The Super Strong 3M™ 4956 VHB™ Tape offers a powerful bonding solution, effectively replacing rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, and liquid adhesives in many applications. This conformable, very high bond acrylic foam tape features a specially formulated adhesive that enhances performance when bonding to plasticised vinyl, resisting plasticiser migration, making it well-suited for various paints and primers. It is particularly advantageous for bonding mutin bars to windows, pre-painted metals in truck assembly, and mounting vinyl wiring ducts and conduit channels. The tape exhibits excellent adhesion to metal, glass, and a diverse range of plastics, and its conformability allows for superior bonding on irregular surfaces and mixed substrates. The product is resistant to moisture, solvents, and UV exposure, and operates effectively within a temperature range of -40° F to 200° F. It is constructed with a kraft paper liner and features dark gray acrylic foam with an acrylic adhesive. This product is compliant with UL746C standards.
