The Super Strong 3M™ 4955 VHB™ Tape offers the simplicity of a tape fastener combined with exceptional strength, making it an ideal alternative to rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, and liquid adhesives in various applications. This product features firm acrylic adhesives that provide excellent long-term holding power, with peel adhesion and tensile holding power significantly surpassing that of standard pressure-sensitive tape. The tape's resistance to solvents, temperature extremes, and U.V. light makes it versatile for both interior and exterior uses. It is specifically designed to attach stiffeners, bond aluminum skin to steel supports in trucks, vans, and ambulances, or secure architectural signs to frames. The tape serves as a general-purpose adhesive on both sides of firm type foam, is moisture, solvent, and UV resistant, and consists of a white acrylic foam with an acrylic adhesive and a polyester liner. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -40° F to 200° F and holds a UL746C certification.
