3M™ 4004 double sided foam urethane tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. The kit includes premium grade 1/4" open cell polyurethane foam featuring either a high temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, enabling strong bonding to various surfaces for mounting, joining, and holding applications. The acrylic adhesive offers high bond strength along with high temperature and solvent resistance, making it suitable for many indoor applications and exterior applications when protected from environmental factors. The conformable foam provides high shear strength, with an ideal temperature range of 70° F - 100° F. The natural color of the urethane foam tape products typically ranges from white to light yellow, with a normal color change to light yellow occurring upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation), which does not affect the tape's performance.
