3M™ 4004 double sided foam urethane tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. The kit includes premium grade 1/4" open cell polyurethane foam that comes with either a high temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, allowing for bonding to various types of surfaces for mounting, joining, and holding applications. Key features include high bond strength, high temperature and solvent resistance, and conformable foam with high shear strength. The ideal temperature range for usage is 70° F to 100° F. The natural colored urethane foam tape varies from white to light yellow, with the color changing to light yellow upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation), a normal occurrence that does not affect tape performance.
