3M™ 9415PC removable double sided film tape features permanent adhesive on one side and repositionable adhesive on the other, making it ideal for applications where repositioning or easy removal of one or both parts is required. The tape includes a low tack adhesive on the back side, which allows for easy removal from many films, foils, and most papers, with potential for reuse in many cases. Users are advised to conduct specific tests to determine suitability for their particular applications. The high tack or "permanent" adhesive on the face side is complemented by a translucent polyester composition, a 70# white polycoated kraft release liner, and a 3" core size. This tape exhibits good adhesive anchorage to the film carrier, ensuring one-piece tape removal from various surfaces. A slight side-to-side adhesion differential allows for specific side removal if applied correctly. Additionally, the complete plastic construction of both tapes provides a hot wire cuttable feature for plastic packaging, while flexible materials adhere better to the low tack adhesive compared to rigid materials, such as paper versus cardboard. It may also be necessary to remove curl from certain applications.
