3M™ 4016 double sided urethane foam tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. This tape features a premium grade 1/16" open cell polyurethane foam with a firm acrylic adhesive, making it ideal for a variety of indoor applications and exterior uses where it is protected from environmental elements. It is available with either a high-temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, enabling bonding to various surface types for mounting, joining, and holding. The acrylic adhesive provides high bond strength along with high temperature and solvent resistance, while the conformable foam boasts high shear strength. The tape performs optimally within an ideal temperature range of 70° F - 100° F. The natural colored urethane foam tape typically ranges in color from white to light yellow; however, it may turn light yellow upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation), an occurrence that does not affect the tape's performance.
