Super Strong 3M™ 4905 Clear Acrylic VHB™ Tape offers a tape fastener solution with remarkable strength suitable for various applications, often replacing rivets, bolts, screws, spot-welds, and liquid adhesives. The tape's colorless design is perfect for bonding transparent materials or situations where a colored bond line is undesirable. While it features somewhat lower peel, tensile, and shear performance compared to other VHB™ tapes due to its inherent softness, it is ideal for sealing skylight inner and outer domes, mounting backlit translucent signs, and edge-bonding resin-filled glass. It is recommended for use with glass and acrylic materials, boasting moisture, solvent, and UV resistance, with a temperature range of -40°F to 200°F. The tape is composed of a red polyethylene film liner and features clear acrylic with an acrylic adhesive.
