3M™ 4016 double sided urethane foam tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distributing stress, sealing, cushioning, dampening vibrations, and resisting impact. This conformable foam offers high shear strength and is available with either a high-temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, making it suitable for bonding to various types of surfaces for mounting, joining, and holding. The product features premium grade 1/16" open cell polyurethane foam with firm acrylic adhesive, making it ideal for many indoor applications and for exterior applications where the tape will be protected from environmental elements. The acrylic adhesive boasts high bond strength, as well as high temperature and solvent resistance, and the conformable foam maintains high shear strength. The optimal temperature range for use is between 70°F and 100°F. The natural color of the urethane foam tape varies from white to light yellow, transitioning to light yellow upon exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation); this color change is normal and does not impact the tape's performance.
