3M™ 4008 double sided foam tape is designed to fill gaps on irregular surfaces, distribute stress, seal, cushion, dampen vibrations, and resist impact. The kit includes conformable foams that offer high shear strength and are available with either a high temperature holding acrylic adhesive system or a rubber adhesive system, enabling effective bonding to various surface types for mounting, joining, and holding applications. Key features include premium grade 1/8" open cell polyurethane foam with firm acrylic adhesive, making it suitable for many indoor applications or for exterior applications where the tape is protected from the environment. The acrylic adhesive provides high bond strength along with high temperature and solvent resistance. The tape operates effectively within an ideal temperature range of 70° F to 100° F. Natural colored urethane foam tape products vary in color from white to light yellow, and exposure to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation) may cause the color to change to light yellow; however, this color change is normal and does not impact the tape's performance.
