The Reed R7140 Dual Function Tachometer is designed to measure RPM (revolutions per minute) using both non-contact (visible light) and contact (ft/min / m/min) methods, ensuring quick and accurate readings. This versatile device is capable of measuring RPM in rotating equipment and surface speed in m/min (meter per minute) and ft/min (feet per minute), thanks to the included contact adapters. The tachometer utilizes visible light for non-contact measurements, functioning effectively at a distance of up to 12" (300mm) from any target. Constructed with a durable ABS plastic housing, the R7140 promises years of maintenance-free performance. Key features include the ability to provide fast and accurate measurements, internal memory that holds the last reading for 5 minutes while recalling minimum, maximum, and last values, and an LCD display that reverses depending on the measurement mode. The surface speed range extends from 0.05 to 1,999.9 m/min. The package includes the photo/contact tachometer, reflective tape, large and small cone tip adapters, funnel adapter, wheel adapter, batteries, and a hard carrying case.
