The Supercombo® open end wrench features specially designed grooves that direct wrench force away from fastener corners, while the Supertorque™ box opening design allows for the application of higher torque without rounding or deforming hex fastener points. This wrench meets or exceeds aerospace specification AS 954 for 12 point fasteners and AS 870 for accurate torque/tension relationships. It can be used on all common hex (6 point) fasteners, offering increased hand tool flexibility and economy. The box and open end openings are identical, and no contact is made at the corners, allowing wrenching forces to be placed on the flat surfaces behind the points.
