The Supercombo® open end features specially designed grooves to direct wrench force away from fastener corners, while the Supertorque™ box opening design allows for higher torque application without rounding or deforming hex fastener points. It meets or exceeds aerospace specification AS 954 for 12 point fasteners (as defined by AS 870), ensuring an accurate torque/tension relationship for precision applications. This wrench may be used on all common hex (6 point) fasteners, providing a considerable advantage over conventional box end wrenches by increasing hand tool flexibility and economy. The box and open end openings are identical, and there is no contact made at the corners, with wrenching forces placed on the flat surfaces behind the points.
