The Homesteader Gate from Behlen Country features a graduated wire mesh design ideal for pasture containment for livestock both large and small. The gate is constructed with an outer frame and top support bar made from 1-5/8" diameter, heavy-gauge steel tubing for durability and daily use, with all joints and seams fully welded using 360° welds to keep out moisture and add strength and stability. It includes adjustable bolt-on hinges allowing mounting from the left or right side, making it adaptable for pairing gates or unique installation situations. The gate is 4" shorter than the listed width to provide space for hardware, installation, and proper clearance. Composite caps finish the gate smoothly while keeping moisture, bugs, grit, and grime out of the tubing. It comes ready to hang with 5/8" x 6" screw hooks included for easy installation. The 6-gauge wire mesh is heavier and more secure than other graduated wire mesh gates, making it suitable for hog enclosures, piglet nursery areas with tighter bottom spacing to prevent escapes, mixed small livestock pens such as for sheep and goats, dog runs, garden boundaries, kid goat pens to prevent young goats from squeezing through, property gates, and driveway entrances.
